Entrepreneurship Development Field of AwardMilagros Kilayko
Millie Kilayko has been an active volunteer in development projects for over 30 years. She is President and CEO of Negrense Volunteers for Change (NVC) Foundation, Inc. which implements education and livelihood projects manufacturing Mingo Meals, an instant nutritious complementary food for infants and toddlers made from rice, mongo and moringa containing vitamins and minerals for brain and physical development. To date, 18,000 Mingo Meals have been served in 53 provinces. She has served in the Association of Negros Producers (ANP), helping to establish and market the output of small manufacturers of local based crafts. She has also served as volunteer for the Presidential Council for Countryside Development in 1994-95 to incubate micro entrepreneurs in the 20 poorest provinces of the country.
