TOWNS Awardees

Dina Ocampo is a Professor at the University of the Philippines College of Education where she teaches courses on literacy development, difficulties and research. Her work has influenced public discussions on the languages for learning and policies on education. She has also contributed to Teacher Education through the Commission on Higher Education. From 2013 to 2017, she served as Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction at the Department of Education. She collaborates with local and international academic, government and nongovernmental agencies. She advocates for literacy and books with the Reading Association of the Philippines, Philippine Dyslexia Foundation, Philippine Board on Books for Young People, UNESCO, and the Global Reading Network.
