Lilia Bautista

Lilia had a long career in government service starting in agricultural credit and cooperatives then at the Office of the President to handle cases from various government offices then was a hearing officer in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. She headed the Board of Investment and the Department of Trade and Industry and chaired DTI attached agencies such as NDC, CITEM, GTEB, NSC etc., and was a member of the Monetary Board and Anti Money Laundering Council. She was appointed Ambassador to The UN and other international organizations in Geneva. She was appointed SEC Chairperson, then elected in the WTO appellate where she became the first female chair. She is now Dean, Law School, Jose Rizal University.
