Lisa is a celebrated prima ballerina and the first foreign artist accepted in the prestigious Kirov Ballet in Russia. Multi-awarded in dance, educational radio and artist welfare, she is also known as “ballerina of the people,” for her commitment to bringing ballet and world class entertainment productions to a wider audience. She is the prime mover of BALLET MANILA and spearheads Project Ballet Futures (PBF) an internationally recognized community scholarship program that trains public school students in classical ballet and in the performing arts. Lisa continues her advocacy through the Lisa Macuja School of Ballet currently offering dance and fitness classes online.
