TOWNS Awardees

Karina is Director of the Ateneo University Press. Since she assumed this post, Ateneo University Press was awarded Publisher of the Year for three consecutive years from 22 of its titles winning in their categories. Karina is recognised for her work in book publishing and literacy development and has received fellowships in Japan and the USA. She is currently Vice President for External Affairs of the Book Development Association of the Philippines (BDAP), Board of Trustees member of the Unyon ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas (UMPIL) and Philippine PEN. She helped start managed and grew Anvil Publishing for 26 years.
