TOWNS Awardees

Deanie is currently the OIC and Deputy Executive Director of the Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO), the largest coalition of NGOs, people’s organizations, and cooperatives in the Philippines. She oversees the implementation of the coalition’s Strategic Plan through Advocacy, Strategic Communications, Membership, Partnership Building and Linkages, and Institutional Concerns. She had managed action research projects on participatory local governance and disaster risk reduction and management, which contributed policy recommendations to DILG, DBM, and various LGUs. With her background in Education, she had created various teaching-learning environment for leaders of civil society organizations. She studies and practices Raja Yoga with the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University centrally based in Mt. Abu, Rajasthan, India.
