TOWNS Awardees

Catherine is Professor and Program Coordinator for Mathematics Education at the Mathematics Department, School of Science and Engineering, Ateneo de Manila University. She is a prominent mathematics education expert in the Philippines and Asia who was elected to the Executive Committee of the International Commission on Mathematical Instruction, the highest decision-making body on international mathematics education matters. She is recognized for spearheading a project that produced the highly influential documents in mathematics education policy, the Mathematics Framework for Philippine Basic Education and the Philippine Mathematics Teacher Education Framework.
