TOWNS Awardees

Jo Enrica “Jean” Enriquez is currently the Executive Director of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women – Asia Pacific (CATW-AP). She is an accredited Gender and Development (GAD) Resource Person by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW). She co-drafted and led the advocacy for the anti-trafficking bill in the Philippines, which was passed in 2003. She has received numerous awards and currently sits as the Women’s Representative in the Inter-agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), and is a member of the Board of Advisers of Buklod Center for Women in Olongapo and Bagong Kamalayan (Prostitution Survivors’ Collective). Her grassroots activism began at age 13 when she organised community youth against the Marcos dictatorship.
